Rope
I really like how rope falls into a heap, all intertwined and overlapping. This photo was a quick snapshot really, but I like how it turned out.
Grunge Tunnel
I came across this tunnel on my travels. It was quite strange in the early morning with no one around. I like this grunge type of scene, there's quite a lot to look at and I seem to find new things each time I look at it.
On a new tack
After my "one photograph a day" idea unsurprisingly failing I've decided to take a new tack with the site. I'm just going to take photographs when I can and upload them. Hopefully with a few lines explaining what I got up to and/or why I like the particular photograph. However, the photographs have to be of a decent quality and not just pictures of my laundry; a low point of my photography career as kindly pointed out by a friend of mine.
Here goes...
Lone Spoon
After a great meal on Saturday night, I couldn't help playing with my camera. I wanted something simple and I think I got it here. I think it's quite a decent photo but hand held and the ISO up to 800 its a bit grainy. The mark on the table top left corner is annoying because I didn't realise it was there until I viewed the photo on my computer, maybe it adds something to the photo, but I'd rather it wasn't there.
Good start to the day
I always try and eat a decent breakfast, usually its at work though and the options are limited to cereal or cereal. So its quite nice to have cereal, toast, a banana and a bloody big cuppa (out of shot).
Top Tip
Don't shoot without a memory card in your camera. I have a "demo" mode on my D80, set to work without a memory card. Hence no photo for today. Part of this project is to learn more about photography and I think I've learnt an important lesson here. Shoot with a memory card, and disable the stupid demo mode that allows you to make yourself look like an idiot. 20/365
